The Nongstoin College Students’ Association is the only recognized students` association in the College. It is an elected body of Class Representatives. The office bearers are elected from among these Representatives.
Objectives:

  1. To foster the growth of good relation and understanding among the students and members of the College.
  2. To formulate and execute the co-curricular activities of the College.
  3. To look after the welfare of the students and of the College.
  4. To look into and address the grievances of the students which may arise from time to time.

The main objectives of Nongstoin College Co-operative Society are:

  1. To encourage members to save by receiving monthly contributions from them by deductions from their pay
  2. To invest money in some profitable concern for the benefit of the members.
  3. To create funds, to make advances to the members of the society.
  4. To secure suitable benefits for the members and their families in distress.
  5. To do all such other acts as are conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives.

The Committee looks into the academic progress of departments or individual teachers. It also initiates innovative practices in teaching and learning at the same time monitors the progress of teaching in accordance with the prescribed syllabus. It also oversees the framing of academic calendar, students and teachers attendance, academic routine and leave diary of teachers.

The Committee looks into the strength, weak nesses, opportunities and challenges of departments or individual teachers. It also examines the student progression and explores the strategies to control drop-outs. It also oversees the self-appraisal report of teachers and departments. It also examines the internal feedback of students and suggests the various measures to improve the academic quality of teachers.
